In this case, appellant John J. Stanton alleges that appellee Carl W. Chase slandered him on two occasions in statements made to trial judges of the Superior Court. Both of appellee's allegedly slanderous statements were made in private meetings with the trial judges, held for the purpose of assigning attorneys to represent indigent clients under the Criminal Justice Act (hereinafter the CJA) D.C.Code...
