OPINION

LATCHUM, Senior District Judge.

This is a civil rights action brought by plaintiff, W. Mae Bruton ("Bruton"), against defendant, The Diamond State Telephone Company ("Diamond State"), under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000e, et seq. The Act prohibits an employer from discriminating in the hiring, payment, or treatment of employees on the basis of their religion.1
