This is an appeal from the trial court's dismissal of the action on the ground that it was barred by the doctrine of res judicata. Plaintiffs Howard Caires, M. Jacqueline Caires, Marshall Hung, William Hardy, and Rowena Hardy (collectively Plaintiffs) contend on appeal that because there was no "judgment on the merits" in favor of defendant Kualoa Ranch, Inc. (Ranch) in either of the two prior adjudications, res judicata was inapplicable...
