Defendant, Mark Louis Blache, was charged by bill of information with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and attempted second degree murder. Blache pled not guilty. These charges were severed and Blache was tried for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon under La.R.S. 14:95.1. A jury found Blache not guilty.
