FORET, Judge.

Defendant, Donald J. O'Meara, was charged by bill of information with armed robbery in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:64. By unanimous verdict, a twelve-person jury found him guilty as charged. He was sentenced to serve 99 years at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence. Defendant appealed his conviction and sentence, urging two assignments of error.
