John Mills, Jr., appeals from his conviction of and sentences for first-degree murder, kidnapping, armed burglary of a dwelling, first-degree arson, and grand theft. The trial court sentenced Mills to death for murder and to consecutive sentences of ninety-nine years for kidnapping, ninety-nine years for burglary, thirty years for arson, and five years for grand theft, with retention of jurisdiction over one-half of the kidnapping, burglary, and arson...
