The defendant was indicted for first degree murder, assault with intent to murder, and aggravated kidnapping, and was convicted of voluntary manslaughter (two counts), assault with intent to commit voluntary manslaughter (three counts), and aggravated kidnapping. The jury set sentences of four to ten years on each of the manslaughter convictions, one to five years...
