This is a direct appeal from convictions for rape, a class A felony, I.C. § 35-42-4-1, criminal deviate conduct, a class A felony, I.C. § 35-42-4-2, criminal confinement, a class B felony, I.C. § 35-42-3-3(a)(2). The case was tried before a jury. Appellant received a ten year sentence for criminal confinement, a thirty year sentence for rape, and a thirty year sentence for criminal deviate conduct.
