This appeal returns to us after remand from the Louisiana Supreme Court. The defendants, SOWELA Technical Institute, Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, and the State of Louisiana (collectively SOWELA), appeal from the trial court judgment granting plaintiff Cheryl Simmons $21,000 in damages for her wrongful dismissal from SOWELA's nursing school in violation of an implied contract between SOWELA and Ms. Simmons.
