The defendant, Zadie Lee Roberts, was charged by bill of information with the offense of sale of a minor child in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:286. A Ouachita Parish jury found the defendant guilty of the lesser included offense of attempt to sell a minor child, LSA-R.S. 14:27, 14:286.
