The majority takes the position that the sentencing limitation of La.R.S. 13:2501.1(J) (and, by implication, of La.C.Cr.P. Art. 493.1) applies only when the district attorney chooses to charge a series of related misdemeanors in a single bill of information or affidavit and not when the defendant consolidates joinable misdemeanors...
