The Holsts initially brought this action against the Guynns seeking refund of the earnest money paid by Holsts to Guynns to purchase a home after the Holsts were unable to obtain financing. The Guynns filed a counterclaim seeking damages for breach of contract. The trial court found generally for the Guynns.
