In a statutory notice of deficiency dated July 28, 1982, respondent determined deficiencies in petitioners' Federal income taxes of $12,977.30 for 1972 and $9,840.70 for 1973. Respondent also determined additions to tax under section 6653(b),1 against petitioner Edwin Probber only, of $6,488.65 for 1972 and $4,920.35 for 1973.
