Charlene Beauclair instituted this action for damages for personal injuries sustained by her as the result of a fall from a 1980 GMC Suburban. Made defendants in the suit were Leroy G. Caubarreaux, driver of the suburban, the State of Louisiana, Through the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (State), owner of the suburban, and The Travelers Insurance Company (Travelers), insurer of the suburban.
