Randy Kaysen was indicted under R.S. 14:30.1, second degree murder, for the killing of a convenience store employee. Following trial, the jury returned a verdict of guilty as charged, and defendant was subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
