During the evening of May 4, 1982, Christopher Kennedy became intoxicated as a result of drinking liquor at a bar known as "The Lounge." On leaving "The Lounge" that evening he purchased and consumed more liquor before departing Casper, Wyoming. Approximately twenty miles north of Medicine Bow, Wyoming, the automobile being driven by Christopher Kennedy struck plaintiff Leland Adkins's vehicle head-on in Mr. Adkins's lane of travel.
