William Ray Thornhill (plaintiff) was injured on May 4, 1981, while employed as a warehouse superintendent by Luke Construction Company (defendant). He was lifting a roll of visqueen off of a rack when he fell over backward and broke four vertebrae. Plaintiff first saw his family physician, Dr. W.A.
