In a one count indictment filed on December 14, 1984, the defendants were charged with conspiracy to knowingly and intentionally distribute and possess with intent to distribute a substantial quantity of cocaine hydrochloride in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a), 846. Thereafter, on February 1, 1985, a superseding indictment was filed which contained a second count charging the defendants...
