On April 18, 1982, Genevieve McEwen died at St. Margaret's Daughters Nursing Home in Orleans Parish. In an olographic will1, dated March 4, 1977 and written and signed by the decedent, Genevieve McEwen bequeathed her entire estate to her niece, Marion Hartenstein.
