The defendant, Ira Joe Mims, is charged in a single bill of information with two counts of purse snatching in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:65.1, two counts of second degree battery in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:34.1, and one count of theft of property valued in excess of $100.00 but less than $500.00 in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:67.
