On appeal from a judgment of conviction for murder in the second degree (Penal Law § 125.25 [1]), defendant's primary claims are that the evidence was insufficient to support the verdict and that the trial court erred in its Sandoval ruling (see, People v Sandoval, 34 N.Y.2d 371). Neither claim has merit.
