GROGG v. NAVARRO

No. 85-2172.

477 So.2d 668 (1985)

Gerald Edwin GROGG, Petitioner, v. Honorable Nick NAVARRO, Sheriff of Broward County, Florida and Honorable Bob Graham, Governor of the State of Florida, Respondents.

District Court of Appeal of Florida, Fourth District.

November 6, 1985.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

William G. Crawford, Jr., of Hodges, Gossett, McDonald, Gossett & Crawford, P.A., Hollywood, for petitioner.

Jim Smith, Atty. Gen., Tallahassee, and Noel A. Pelella, Asst. Atty. Gen., West Palm Beach, for respondents.

PER CURIAM.

The case is remanded with direction to the trial court to conduct an evidentiary hearing upon the amount of bail to be required of the petitioner. The file in this case reflects not only confusion as to the amount of bail the trial judge intended to set but also as to the evidence upon which an informed decision could be based.
