Francis J. Serigny (defendant) was charged by bill of information with the attempted second degree murder of Jack Jambon in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:27 and 14:30.1. He pled not guilty and, after trial by jury, was convicted as charged. He was sentenced to fifty years at hard labor.
