The opponents in this case were co-executors of the estate of Hubbard Harvey Longest. Executrix Virginia L. Burroughs, sought to have the estate's other executor, C. Leroy Shuping, Jr., removed. Mrs. Burroughs' petition to have Shuping's letters testamentary revoked was before the Guilford County Clerk of Superior Court three times and appealed to the Superior Court three times.
