Petitioners have brought forward ten assignments of error. We have carefully considered each of them and find them to be without merit.

By their first assignment of error, petitioners contend that the court erred in ordering a compulsory reference. Rule 53(a)(2)(c) of the Rules of Civil Procedure allows a court, when the parties do not consent to a reference, to order a reference on its own motion when the case involves a complicated question...
