Defendant Coen was convicted of kidnapping in the third degree and assault with intent to commit sexual abuse as a result of an incident which occurred on August 16, 1984. On that date at around 11 p.m. Natalie Weaver, a nineteen year old, parked her car outside Food For Less and went into the store.
