The Denver District Court acquitted the defendant, Victor Krovarz, of attempted aggravated robbery, §§ 18-2-101(1), 18-4-301 and 18-4-302, 8 C.R.S. (1978). The court, relying upon People v. Frysig, 628 P.2d 1004 (Colo.1981), ruled that liability for criminal attempt is predicated upon the specific intent to commit the underlying crime and found that the defendant did not possess the requisite intent...
