This appeal raises issues concerning sentencing under the "dangerous special offender" provisions of the Criminal Code, 18 U.S.C. § 3575 (1982). Alfred Calabrese appeals from a judgment of the District Court for the Southern District of New York (Robert J. Ward, Judge) convicting him and a co-defendant, after a jury trial, of drug and firearms offenses. The charges were based primarily on Calabrese's efforts to sell several kilograms...
