INTRODUCTION

Plaintiff Alfred Ferreri brought this action to recover damages for trading losses he sustained on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange as a limited partner in a market making firm called Idraniam Trading Partners. The defendant, First Options of Chicago, Inc. ("First Options"), has filed a motion to compel the arbitration of Ferreri's claims in accordance with section 41
