Defendant/appellant was indicted on two counts: first degree murder and robbery with a deadly weapon. Upon trial the jury found him guilty on both counts. The trial court likewise adjudicated him and, following the jury's recommendation, sentenced him on the murder count to a life term with a twenty-five year mandatory minimum, and a concurrent life term on the robbery with a deadly weapon count.
