BOUTALL, Judge.

Ronald Quetant was charged by bill of information with a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:967, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, pethidine (commonly known as Demerol). Following trial the jury returned a verdict of guilty as charged. A presentence investigation was conducted and defendant was sentenced to 10 years at hard labor. Defendant now appeals his conviction and sentence.
