The district attorney for the Plymouth District filed suit alleging that the board of selectmen of Middleborough (board) violated the terms of the open meeting law, G.L.c. 39, §§ 23A-23C (1984 ed.), when the board held a meeting with its attorney which was closed to the public. A complaint by a newspaper reporter excluded from this executive session prompted the present action by the district attorney...
