On March 1, 1982, a jury convicted defendant, John Krankel, of burglary. The court sentenced him to 14 years' imprisonment consecutive to two concurrent five-year sentences which he was then serving. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 19-1.) This is defendant's second appeal.
