This is a suit for damages brought by plaintiff, Dana Reyes, (hereinafter Reyes) against the State of Louisiana, Department of Transportation and Development, (hereinafter DOTD) for injuries received by her while riding as a guest passenger in a vehicle owned by Beverly Blood and being driven by Elter J. Smith, Jr. The accident occurred when Smith failed to negotiate a curve on Louisiana Highway 115 in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana and struck a roadside...
