On October 6, 1983, at 9:00 p.m., a Toledo police officer confronted appellant, James Farmer, at the front steps of a house which was being "raided" pursuant to a search warrant. The officer, after briefly questioning appellant, conducted a pat-down search of appellant. The search revealed a handgun concealed on appellant's person. Appellant was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon in violation of R.C. 2923.12(A).
