ROSS, Circuit Judge.

James David Irons appeals the district court's1 denial of his petition for a writ of habeas corpus filed pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. We affirm.

Pursuant to a plea of guilty to the charge of raping his twelve-year-old daughter, Irons was sentenced to fifteen years imprisonment. On appeal the Arkansas Supreme Court vacated the guilty plea. Following a jury trial, Irons was found guilty of rape and sentenced...
