The defendants Coleman R. Felton and his wife, Mary K. Felton, bought the "Old Betty Stephenson Farm" by warranty deed on 3 January 1983 from the defendants Thomas L. Jones and his wife, Paula H. Jones. Were the Feltons bona fide purchasers for value? The plaintiff Stephenson claimed a better right to the same farm due to an alleged oral promise made by the defendants Jones to reconvey the property to him, and filed this lawsuit on 18 January 1983...
