In this personal injury action we have granted both parties' requests for further review of the court of appeals decision. The defendant City of Des Moines [city] contends that the court of appeals should have found the trial court's instructions inadequate in several respects. The plaintiff on the other hand supports each of the instructions given by the trial court and protests the court of appeals determination that a $10,000 settlement received...
