Appellants1 seek review of an adverse money judgment in the amount of $25,000 entered by the trial court pursuant to a directed verdict on the issue of liability and a jury verdict on the issue of damages. The plaintiff's original action in the trial court sought damages for false arrest, false imprisonment, malicious prosecution and intentional infliction of emotional distress.2
