Gordon and Stephanie Chalmers purchased a 1981 DeLorean automobile on September 11, 1981 for $29,880.50 from Stephens Chevrolet. Alleging the existence of vices and negligent repair, plaintiffs sued for rescission of the sale or reduction of the purchase price and damages.
