The defendant, Paul E. Brown, was convicted by a jury of three counts of rape, Class A felonies, Ind. Code § 35-42-4-1 (Burns 1979 Repl.) and two counts of criminal deviate conduct, Class A felonies, Ind. Code § 35-42-4-2 (Burns 1979 Repl.).
