Plaintiff was injured by the explosive escape of steam and boiling fluid from a Broaster machine, used for deep fat frying of chicken, while he was cleaning it. He brought this action against the manufacturer, The Broaster Company (defendant), and its parent companies, Alco Standard Corporation and Alco Food Service Equipment Company, alleging that the Broaster was dangerously defective because of inadequate warnings on the machine.
