¶ Stanley G. Halpern (the decedent) had been living with plaintiff since June of 1979, returning to the marital residence sporadically. The decedent and his wife, the interpleaded defendant Ellen P. Halpern, executed a separation agreement on January 30, 1980, at which time the decedent permanently left the marital residence. ¶ On September 17, 1980, the decedent signed an adoption agreement for the Fidelity Group Individual...
