This appeal raises the question of whether increases in salary paid to the state attorney general during his term, pursuant to a statute enacted prior to his taking office, violate the section of the Constitution providing that he "shall receive compensation to be fixed by law, which shall not be increased or diminished during the term" for which he is elected.
