The appellant, Rex Carroll Carter, was indicted for malice murder, felony murder, armed robbery, and theft by taking. The offenses were perpetrated on Charles Aaron Crosby, Jr., at his apartment in Clayton County. Also indicted were Frank Kendall Humphries, John Anthony Roberts, and Benjamin Clyde Robinson. At the appellant's trial, at which the state was seeking the death penalty, the jury returned a verdict finding him guilty of felony...
