JUSTICE HEIPLE delivered the opinion of the court:

In accordance with section 11-501.1 of the Illinois Vehicle Code (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1981, ch. 95 1/2, par. 11-501.1), the circuit court of La Salle County held a hearing to determine whether the defendant, Renee Brennan, refused to submit to a breathalyzer test. The trial court found the defendant refused to submit to the test. The defendant appeals that finding. We reverse.
