Defendant was found guilty by a district court jury of a charge of assault in the second degree, Minn.Stat. § 609.222 (1982). The trial court sentenced her to an executed term of 21 months in prison, which is the presumptive sentence for a severity level VI offense by a person with a criminal history score of zero.
