WHICHARD, Judge.

I.

The issue is whether defendant, who was not served with summons, made a general appearance which entitled the court to exercise jurisdiction over him. We answer in the affirmative, and thus affirm the trial court.

II.

The following facts are not disputed:

Plaintiff-wife and defendant-husband separated while living in Okinawa. Plaintiff and the minor child born of the marriage moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina...
