Plaintiff-respondent Janet Swenson, individually and as trustee for the heirs at law of Edward Swenson, commenced this wrongful death action against defendant-appellants A.O. Smith Company and Emerson Electric on April 6, 1981. Her claims arise from explosion of a water heater manufactured by appellant A.O. Smith which incorporated thermostatic gas controls manufactured by appellant Emerson Electric Company. Respondent's husband...
