Plaintiff instituted a suit against defendant by complaint on May 18, 1983. Service of the complaint was accepted by the defendant's attorney on May 28, 1983. The attorney then filed an affidavit attesting to the fact that he provided his client with a true and correct copy of the complaint.

Paragraph 1 of the complaint avers that the plaintiff "currently resides at box 2586, R.D. no. 2, Etters, York County, Pennsylvania."...
